Vevo said the Justin Bieber became the first artist to reach more than 10 billion views globally on its platform. Music videos from his latest album “Purpose” have reached more than 4 billion views on Vevo.
Justin Bieber won’t be questioning what this means: The pop singer has become, according to video platform Vevo, the first artist to gain more than 10 billion views globally on its platform.
The numbers don’t just come from his latest hits — it took Bieber’s entire Vevo catalog 6.3 years (2,316 days) to attract the total — though the videos off of his latest album, Purpose, brought in 4 billion views. The singer is also close to having a third video reach more than 1 billion views, as “What Do You Mean” will be able to hit the mark in the next few weeks, Vevo estimates. (It’s time to rally, Beliebers!)
